GOVERNANCE
Implementation of MediCA²C
This project builds on both national and international institutions and will be coordinated by the IHU Méditerranée Infection. It will rely on Aix-Marseille University for the development of educational initiatives, and on its Tethys university network to foster collaborations and connect antimicrobial resistance experts from different fields. The Assistance Publique–Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) and its network of Mediterranean university hospitals (MUHN) will be involved in matters related to epidemiology, clinical research, and best practices. Discussion is ongoing with IRD and its network in the Mediterranean (Morocco, Tunisia and Lebanon).
At the international level, the project will benefit from a wide network of universities, hospitals and researchers across the Mediterranean basin. It has already received the support of ESCMID, through its study group ESGARS, and is also seeking the endorsement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Union for the Mediterranean, Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the United Nations Environment Program/Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP).
The project has also been presented to industrial stakeholders for which sponsorship and collaborations are currently underway.
