Create an international Master’s program
The initiative aim to establish an international Master’s program in the 2028 academic year, developed in partnership between universities from both the northern and southern Mediterranean regions. As the program is currently under development, detailed information will be provided in due time. In the meantime, you will find here the main outlines of the Master’s program.
Euro-Mediterranean One Health & Antimicrobial Resistance (EM-OHAMR)
Duration: 2 years – 120 ECTS
Degree: International Master’s degree co-awarded by the universities of the Tethys consortium + Euro-Mediterranean partners of the MediCA²C alliance
Language: English (main) + optional modules in French and Arabic
Format: In-person + Blended Learning (hybrid)
Target Audience: International students (medicine, pharmacy, biology, veterinary science, environmental sciences, public health)
Learning Objectives
- Train experts capable of addressing AMR using an integrated One Health approach.
- Develop technical (diagnostic, surveillance, bioinformatics) and strategic (public policy, communication) skills.
- Strengthen scientific and health cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
- Promote the transfer of research to clinical, veterinary and environmental applications.
Teaching Methods
- In-person courses at the main sites (Aix-Marseille University with Tethys University partners)
- E-learning modules hosted on a multilingual platform
- Internships and projects distributed across partner laboratories/hospitals/research centers
- Mandatory international mobility of at least one semester (S4) in a country other than the one of origin
Expected Master’s Deliverables
- Annual cohort of 25-30 graduates trained in a One Health approach applied to AMR
- Research projects published in international journals co-authored by several countries
- Identification and funding of outstanding PhD candidates
